JOHN C. FREMONT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Welcome to John C. Fremont Elementary School, nestled in the foothills of the Crescenta Valley. Originally built in 1926 and remodeled in 2001, this traditional calendar elementary school is part of the Glendale Unified School District. It is surrounded by urban single-family homes in the quaint community of Montrose. The entrance to the school features garden benches where parents may relax while meeting their children. When you walk into the office, warm smiles and friendly hellos greet you.

A strong component of Fremont’s success can be directly correlated to the numerous volunteers who assist our school. Parent helpers, grandparents, and students from our local college and feeder high schools are on our campus daily to work with the students.

Most members of our wonderful staff live here in the Crescenta Valley. This means they are not only Fremont faculty members; they are parents of Fremont students as well. A very real sense of family, community spirit and true pride abounds.

Each student is respected, valued and loved and an enthusiasm for learning is fostered and developed. Student successes are celebrated daily and student needs are addressed immediately. We are committed to providing an optimal learning experience for our youngsters. Teachers and staff have worked diligently to create a learner-centered instructional program that values the special talents of each of our students, while promoting high standards for academic achievement. We invite you to come be a part of our Fremont family.
